Virgin Mojito – In a fancy yet effortless style. “Let’s Start”
When life gives you lemons its always better to make a lemonade !. A sweet lemonade on a hot day always feels like a bliss. Not only it calms our body but refreshes it to the very core. Mojito is amongst the most desired drinks in summers . Easy to make and extremely delicious; this drink is loved by people of all ages. So beat the heat this summers with these very easy to prepare yet no less than restaurant ordered mojito recipes.

Recipe 1 – (Virgin Mojito – In a fancy yet effortless style)
Ingredients – ( the quantity mentioned for each ingredient accounts up for two servings)
- 200 ml club soda
- 2 mason jars or glasses
- 10 ice cubes
- 4 tsp of powdered sugar or normal sugar
- 4-6 fresh mint leaves
- 4 small sized lemons (Use only 2 if they are large in size)
Take 2 fresh mason jars. Add 2 tsp of powdered sugar , half of the lemons (squeezed), 4 fresh mint leaves and 4-5 ice cubes in each jar. Crush all the ingredients with the help of a wooden crusher for a better taste ( Make sure to not break the jars). Now, add club soda in each jar and mix the contents thoroughly with a spoon.
Garnish or decorate the side walls with lemon slices/ mint leaves/ cucumber/ any fruit. Enjoy with a straw.
(This mocktail can be used for 2 weeks when refrigerated by mixing honey syrup in it. The recipe for honey syrup is also given in this article).
Recipe 2 – (Instant method – Virgin Mojito)
- 100 ml soda (you can also take chilled water)
- a shaker and a glass
- 4-5 ice cubes
- 2 tsp of honey syrup/powdered sugar/normal sugar.
- 2-3 fresh mint leaves
- 2 tsp of lemon juice (use fresh lemon)
Take a shaker and add 2 tsp of sugar, lemon juice, 2-3 small sized mint leaves, 4-5 ice cubes and 100 ml of soda in it. Shake well to mix the contents thoroughly.
Pour the drink in a glass and garnish the side wall with lemon slices/mint leaves/ cucumber/ any fruit. Enjoy with a straw !
(This mocktail can be used for 10-12 days when refrigerated by adding honey syrup in it).
Honey syrup –
- 100 ml honey
- 100 ml normal water
Take a fresh pan with 100 ml honey and 100 ml water in it. Boil the contents on medium flame and keep stirring it till honey dissolves in the water well. After 5 mins turn the flame high and boil for another 2 mins. Turn off the flame.
Leave the mixture 2-3 hours for cooling. Once cooled, keep it in an air tight container and refrigerate it.
(You can use this for month when refrigerated well and stored in an air tight container. It will only keep tasting better with time).
